Nose
Classic caramel, vanilla, with some grape kool-aid, red fruit.
Palate
Most of the nose transfers to palate, grape lik-m-aid stick with the candy stick, cotton candy flavor (not the sugar). Not sweet.
Finish
Hot as it crosses the tongue, not in throat or chest. No burn on nose, typical BT profile, overall drinks under proof.
Appearance (color, bottle, packaging)
Nice dark color, good bottle, no additional packaging, new “Stagg” only label (dropped the “JR”).
Availability
Allocated, extremely limited.
Value
Really want to rate higher, just does not get me there.
Thoughts
Hot on the tongue, not in throat or chest, no burn on nose. Typical Buffalo Trace profile. Overall drinks under proof. Buffalo Trace is generally not my profile, so not the right value for me.
